Training facilities at the College are first class, providing a well structured base for the most competitive of riders. Students also have the use of:
• 60 x 30 m outdoor all weather ménage
• Two Breaking in Round Yards
• Training to Pre Novice Cross Country Course
• Undercover Stable Block
• Luxury extended College Float
The College regularly utilises local studs and training stables for "hands on" practical training, ensuring that students are trained to an industry acceptable standard.
Indoor Riding ArenaThe College has an Indoor Riding Arena which is 23 x 75 metres in dimension. It allows for instruction to continue under any weather conditions and at any time of day or night. The Centre is fully floodlit and has mirrors on the corners to facilitate the riders awareness of their position and the horses outline. The overhead sprinkler system is fully computerised ensuring that the arena remains dust free for all classes. The wood fibre and sand combination surface has proved very successful for maintenance and security of footing. A full sized show jumping course is easily constructed within this arena's generous dimensions, and many successful freshmans show jumping competitions have been staged at Marcus Oldham. |
