Building Project

This project encompasses a number of key buildings which are of high priority in order to accommodate students and new courses. The Foundation is delighted to have opened the Buckland Wing Extension (2 new lecture rooms), in addition to recent computer centre extensions, providing further staff offices and storage areas.

In 2008 the major building project is the re-development of the College dining room. The Foundation has raised approximately $300,000 for the project so far.

With the continued growing demand and respect the Horse Business Management course has amongst the industry, both in Australia and internationally, the equine stable complex now more than ever needs your support. Current facilities have been outgrown. Therefore, an entire new complex has been designed to ensure the College can offer the very best facilities. A covered round yard, horse crush and day yards have recently been completed as part of this exciting project.

Whilst the expansion of the Agribusiness course to include a Bachelor and Associate Degree ...  Post Graduate...  has been a great advancement other exciting opportunities exist for Marcus Oldham. Our Distance Education Program is just one of the key projects now in the development stage thanks to the generous support of a number of organisations. Development of our Leadership Program continues and the College also has other exciting initiatives to ensure the curriculum remains at the forefront of rural and equine education.

This is one of the most exciting programs of the Jubilee Campaign. The Centre for the Study of Rural Australial hosts a range of activities such as research into the future trends in agriculture and agribusiness, seminars and forums, leadership, entrepreneurship, corporate training and distance education programs.
The official launch for the Centre for the Study of Rural Australia was held at Morgan’s 401 in Melbourne on 9 May 2008. The Centre was officially opened by Simon Ramsay, President, Victorian Farmers Federation.

The scholarship project has been a feature of the past two fundraising campaigns and will remain a focus for the Jubilee Campaign. The College believes its scholarship program plays an important role in assisting its students and also offers Marcus Oldham and graduates the opportunity to build links with industry.
